Jiaxing is a harbor city located in the Yangtze Delta in Eastern China bordering on Shanghai with 90 kilometers away to its east. It is 90 kilometers to Hangzhou to the southwest, 70 kilometers to Suzhou to the north and 40 kilometers to Jiaxing Harbor to the southeast. In light of its booming economy, Jiaxing is not only an ideal manufacturing base in the Yangtze Delta but a frontline in Jiaxing's access to Shanghai through continuous opening-up. Under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, Jiaxing affiliates urban and suburban districts and three cities namely Pinghu, Haining and Tongxiang as well as two counties namely Jiashan and Haiyan. Its total area is 3,915 square kilometers with a total population of 4.08 million. |
