按照市委、市政府提出的实施“工业立市”战略和把嘉兴建设成为环杭 州湾重要的先进制造业基地的战略任务要求，嘉兴正在着力打造的四大产业群是：
●以石化（化工新材料）、能源、新型建材、船舶修造等为主的临港工业产业群；
●以电子信息、新材料、生物工程等为主的高新技术产业群；
●以汽车零部件、机械标准件、电器成套设备等为主的装备制造业产业群；
●以现代纺织、皮革制品、造纸、家具制造等为主的传统优势特色产业群。
Under the strategy of vitalizing the city by industry made by the Municipal Party Committee and Government and the request of building Jiaxing into an advanced manufacturing base in Hangzhou Bay, Jiaxing is putting efforts on developing the following four industry groups:
●Harbor-based industry, such as petrochemical industry (new chemical materials), energy, new building materials, ship building, etc.
● Hi-tech industry, such as IT, new materials, bio-engineering, etc.
●Equipment manufacturing industry, such as Auto parts, mechanical standard component, electrical equipment, etc.
