嘉兴经济开发区地处嘉兴市区南翼。开发区创建于1992年，经过14年的重点引进和培育发展，已形成汽车配件、化纤纺织、电子信息、精密机械和食品加工等五大特色产业。
汽车配件投资规模7.13亿美元，主要有韩泰轮胎、东方钢帘线、东海橡塑、古河电装、红忠精工、合克萨斯精工、村上石崎等企业；
化纤纺织投资规模8.92亿美元，主要有康龙纺织、伯林顿纺织、晓星氨纶、晓星化纤、埃迪尔丝绸、万永新纺织印染等企业；
电子信息投资规模2.41亿美元，主要有和泰电子、东益电子、淳祥电子、奥托尼克斯电子、斯比泰电子等项目；
精密机械投资规模2.16亿美元，主要有东明实业、敦丰机械、胜代机械特迈斯冷热工程、奥克梅包装设备等企业；
食品加工投资规模2.1亿美元，主要有爱芬食品、宏亚食品、狮子食品、松村食品、66利时路多萨食品、五芳斋粽子、振华乳业等企业。
JXEDZ is established in 1992 and situated in the south part of Jiaxing. After 14 years investment attraction and development, auto parts, chemical fiber, electronic components and IT, precision machinery and food industry these five feature industries have taken initial shape.
Auto parts industry, with investment scale of USD 713 million, main factories including Hankook Tyre (Jiaxing)Co. Ltd, Eastern Steel Cord (Jiaxing) Co. L td,? Tokai Rubber (Jiaxing) Co. Ltd.
Furukawa Automotive, Hongzong Precision, HEXAS Precision Technologies, Murakami Ishizaki etc.
Chemical fiber industry with investment scale of USD 892 million, main factories including cone DENIM, Burlington Textile, Hyosung Spandex, Hyosung Chemical Fiber, IDEA Silk etc.
Electronic components and IT industry, with investment scale of USD 241 million, main factories including Salom Electric, Globetronics, Shunon electronics technology, Autonics electronics etc.
Precision machinery industry, with investment scale of USD 216 million, main factories including Tongmin Enterprise (Jiaxing) Co.,Ltd, P&F Brother, Katsushiro machinery etc.
Ood processing industry, with investment scale of USD 210 million, main factories including Effem Foods, Hunya Foods, Lion-foods, Wufangzhai Group, Zhenhua Dairy etc.

Jiaxing Industrial Park (Provincial level)
嘉兴工业园区创建于2002年，2006年4月经国家发改委审核认定为省级开发区。园区位于嘉兴市区东南，是南湖区发展先进制造业的重点区域，规划面积 35平方公里，分东、西、南三区并行发展。区内目前已有内外资企业200多家，已初步形成以天通控股、美嘉电子为龙头的通讯电子产业；以敏实集团、明新皮业、瑞华皮业为龙头的汽配产业；以正泰电缆、越兴电气、加西贝拉为龙头的机械电气产业；以美嘉家纺、罗卡芙家纺、龙腾化纤为龙头的高档家纺产业；以中华集团、卫星集团为龙头的精细化工产业等五大产业集群初步形成。
Established in 2002, JXIP was approved as a provincial level development zone by State Development and Reform Commission. JXIP locates in the southwest of Jiaxing and is a key development area for advanced manufacturing industry of Nanhu district. It covers a planned area of 35 square kilometers, consists of East, West and Sout h three sections. Up to now, there are over 200 enterprises from home and abroad having their establishments in JXIP. Communication and electron industry represented by TDG, Meijia Electronics, auto parts and accessories represented by Minshi Group, Mingxin Leather Co., Ltd and Ruihua Leather Co., Ltd, machinery and electric industry represented by Zhengtai group, Yuexing company, advanced household textile industry represented by Meijia, Royalcover Home textile, and fine chemical fiber industry represented by Zhonghua group, Weixing group, these five cluster industries have taken initial shape.
